Looking good today…
Our plantaria is full of spring colour, and one of our favourite plants of the moment is Euphorbia purpurea, otherwise known as wood spurge.
This is a compact, shade-loving plant that has long-lasting yellow flowers in spring that contrast beautifully with the deep purple, strappy foliage.
It is perfect at the front of a border, where its foliage can be admired.
It is also good as a ground cover plant, and looks spectacular when grown with spring flowering bulbs.
It self-seeds and so will spread, it is also toxic if eaten.
